Police are holding a 61 year old woman over claims she and others obtained up Sh1.4 million from unsuspecting Kenyans claiming they would help them join the Kenya Prisons Service personnel.
The money was obtained from at least four people who wanted their kin to join the service.
They were issued with fake calling letters prompting them to report to police who arrested the woman.
Police say they are looking for more suspects in the probe.
The recruitment was conducted on Tuesday and it was free of charge.
