Woman pulls gun on Nairobi taxi driver over 320 fee

Brown Mwangi the owner of the taxi reported an incident where a client allegedly threatened to  shoot him because of 320 shillings as a fee he charged the rider he dropped the lady in Karen Nairobi

The driver also said that the lady asked him to leave his premises claiming that her boyfriend will pay him later. So he responded to the request and told her he will park outside and wait until he gets paid

“She later went inside came with a gun and smashed my car wind screen and also said that her father is a renowned lawyer and that I won’t report or take any action against her.

He reported the incident at Hardy police station in Karen and was asked to come back on the 26th Thursday. Mwangi urges his fellow drivers to report such incidences when they happen not long along before one David the student was in a similar situation. Mwangi is also calling for safety measures for the drivers who are operating at night

Cases of taxi drivers being hijacked are on the rise. Since May 2020 and the DCI has so far arrested 7 suspects in relation to a case of a missing taxi driver

DCI also disclosed that pieces of human meat were found in Kijabe forest and are believed to be part of this case the driver went missing on February 23rd 2020
