World’s Second Richest Man, Elon Musk Now Homeless

Last year, Elon Musk startled the world by announcing that he would be selling his entire real estate holdings to focus on his goal of bringing humanity to Mars.

The second richest man in the world, valued at $162 billion according to Forbes, listed every single one of his homes.

Musk is in the strange position of owning no properties when it sells now that it, too, has entered the market — an unusual feat for one of the world’s wealthiest moguls.

After confirming on Twitter in May 2020 that he would follow through on his vow, the SpaceX founder ultimately did so “Almost all of my physical belongings are being sold. Will not own a home.”

After listing all of his previous homes, Musk returned to Twitter in June 2021 to announce his most recent, and final, sale: “Decided to sell my last remaining house. All that is required is a visit to a huge family who will be residing there. It’s a unique location.”

Surprisingly, the billionaire will not own a single home once it is sold. The opulent mansion is of great dimensions and includes an outstanding entrance, replete with intricate stained glass and a black and white checkerboard floor, and is located on one of the largest plots of land on the prestigious San Francisco Peninsula.

The historic property, which was built in 1916, has ten bedrooms, six baths, a ballroom, a formal dinner room, and a flower garden.

Musk is selling the estate privately for $37.5 million through Zillow, with accommodations spanning 16,000 square feet.

Musk’s decision to sell the remains of his real estate holdings comes as he reaffirms his dedication to generating sustainable energy with Tesla and making progress toward multi-planetary living with SpaceX, which he also announced on Twitter.

After paying $23.3 million for the San Francisco property in 2017, it appears that the entrepreneur will soon be bidding the huge estate farewell after four years.

Musk would have had unimpeded views across the water from this beautiful living area, which was suited for a billionaire.
