Collins had made eight National League appearances for the Glovers this season having joined from Forest Green Rovers in 2019, and was on the bench for the Glovers’ 3-1 win over Barnet last Saturday.
Defender Collins began his career at Wolves and also had spells with Hereford, Port Vale, Barnsley, Shrewsbury, Northampton, Mansfield and Forest Green.
Yeovil’s game at Altrincham on Friday has been postponed.
Collins joined Yeovil in 2019 and was in attendance for the club’s 3-1 win against Barnet on Saturday, although he was an unused substitute.
His last appearance, prior to an injury, was on Feb 6 against Stockport.
No details on the circumstances of his death have been revealed.
