Yesu Wa Tongeren Emotional As Court Extends His Arrest

Yesu Wa Tongaren broke into an emotional song before minutes after Bungoma Law courts directed DCI to detain the self-proclaimed ‘Christ’ for four extra days.

The leader of New Jerusalem Church alias Wekesa was summoned by Bungoma police on Thursday for interrogation but maintained he had committed no crime.

He has so far insisted that he is a man of God on a mission from his master.

He was then arraigned in Court today with the prosecution seeking four days detention order.

Bungoma Principal Magistrate Tom Olando granted the prosecution four days to complete the investigations and carry out a mental assessment.

“The court has agreed and granted permission to the prosecution side to detain the suspect for four more days to allow them to complete the probe and carry out the mental assessment,” Olando ruled.

It was at this moment that the preacher broke into a song referring to the judgement day. In the song, he explains how every human will carry their own cross and give evidence before God.

He said that the day has finally come, and the Prophecy is about to be fulfilled.

“Kila mtu atauchukuwa mzigo wake mwenyewe, na kila mtu atatoa habari zake mwenywe mbele zake mungu siku hii imefika, imefika maana ‘yesu’ yumo duniani,” sang the ‘Christ’.
