Real Madrid’s manager, Zinedine Zidane, has left the club.

On Wednesday, it was reported that the Frenchman was about to leave the Bernabeu after a trophy-less season.
Zidane, 48, returns to the Bernabeu in March 2019 for his second stint as manager.

“Real Madrid CF announces that Zinedine Zidane has opted to leave his present stage as coach of our team,” read a poignant statement from the club.
“It is now time to respect his decision and show him our appreciation for his professionalism, dedication and passion in all these years, and for what his figure represents for Real Madrid.”
