Both Zinedine Zidane and Christiano Ronaldo were knocked out of the champions league last night. Zidane kicked out by Manchester City under the tutelage of serial winner of the big eared trophy- Josep Guardiola. City completed a double over Real Madrid knocking them out on 4-2 aggregate after a similar 2-1 win.
On the score sheet were Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus both capitalizing on woeful defending by France World Cup winner Raphael Varane. Varane was guilt of terrible defensive mistakes, the first time he has disappointed at the biggest stage.Compatriot Karim Benzema pulled one back for Real via an earlier equalizer, but the goal counted for nothing at the end.
