President Uhuru Kenyatta, has appointed the Steering Committee on the Implementation of the Report of the Presidential Taskforce on Review of Power Purchase Agreements.
The Taskforce is based on a report submitted to the President on the state of the ailing Kenya Power.
The committee will be led by John Ngumi.
and shall comprise of: state House chief of staff Nzioka S. Waita and retired justice Aaron Ringera.

The committee will overseee, the implementation of the Recommendations of the Presidential Taskforce.
In an address to the media, Interior ministry CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i said the government will ensure power costs will be reduced.
