Deputy President William Ruto communications team has leaked a letter addressed to Catholic Bishops, to the media.
The contents of the letter were first tweeted by DP Digital Media strategist Dennis Itumbi in a tweet to Nyeri Archbishop Anthony Muheria.
The tweet, widely circulated by social media influencers is aimed at absorbing the DP if blame for bad blood in the Presidency.
During the national prayer day at Subukia, Catholic Bishops stopped short of giving an ultimatum to President Uhuru and DP Ruto to reconcile.
The move may fall on deaf ears, given that there are other prevailing political undercurrents flowing around ODM leader Raila Odinga.
