On Thursday afternoon, August 26, at least seven persons were killed when a lifting machine at a construction site in Nairobi’s Kilimani district collapsed.
The event occurred on a Chinese contractor’s building site, directly across from the Department of Defense Headquarters.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that a large number of people were hurt, with varying degrees of severity, and are currently being brought to the hospital.
First responders continue to evacuate the area, as heavy police presence cordoned off the area.
