Nick Mwendwa, the President of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), has been arrested.
This comes just one day after Amina Mohammed, the Sports CS, fired him.
Mwendwa was taken to DCI headquarters to be questioned over an ongoing investigation into allegations of graft.
Other FKF officials will be questioned, according to the detectives in charge of the case.
Mwendwa was apprehended by two police cars and instructed to contact his attorney.
Mwendwa slammed the interim committee constituted by CS Amina to oversee football in the country on Thursday.
