Former Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria has presented himself at the EACC police station for statement recording and fingerprint taking about the ongoing probe into allegations of graft.
This is after Justice Prof Nixon Sifuna yesterday ordered the suspects to immediately appear before EACC for processing and proceed to the Chief Magistrate’s Court this morning to take plea.
Also present are his co-accused persons.
Judge Nixon Sifuna had ordered arrest in the event of non-compliance.
Murang’a High Court had issued temporary orders stopping their charging in court.
However, Muranga Presiding Judge James Wakiaga transferred the matter to the Nairobi High court Anti-corruption Division for further directions.
