Kenya’s coronavirus fatalities have risen to 1,614 after the death of 10 more patients was reported. – By Gerald Gekara.

According to the Ministry of Health, the deaths were from Coronavirus complications.

Over the same period, Kenya recorded 394 Covid-19 positive cases raising the total caseload rises to 92,853.

In terms of gender, 271 are males and 123 are females. The youngest case is a two-year-old baby and the oldest is aged 93 years.

Nairobi continues to lead in terms of cases, recording (167), Mombasa (59), Taita Taveta (32), Kwale (21), Kilifi (20), Nyeri (13), Kiambu (12), Nandi (7), Kakamega (7), Siaya (6), Kajiado (6), Bungoma (6), Nakuru (5), Neru (5), Nyamira (5), Migori (5), Kisii (4), Kisumu (3), Turkana (2), Murang’a (2), Nachakos (2), while Narok, Mandera, Vihiga, Homa Bay, and Lamu recorded (1) case each.

424 patients have recovered from the disease, 303 from the Home-Based Care Program while 121 have been discharged from various hospitals. Total recoveries now stand at 74,403.
