Kenya has recorded a total of 19 deaths in the last 24 hours, pushing the ever rising fatalities to 1,130.

In a statement to newsrooms, the Ministry of health lamented the plight of those in oxygen support, ICU and HDU, urging Kenyans to take necessary precautions and avoid disaster.

In the latest tally, 756 people tested positive for the virus, from a sample size of 4,316 tested in the last 24 hours. This brings the total to 63,244 confirmed positive cases in the country.

From the cases 731 are Kenyans and 25 are foreigners.

728 patients have recovered from the disease, 645 from the Home-Based Care Program, while 83 have been discharged from various hospitals.

Total recoveries now stand at 42,659.
