The incident was reported on May 24, 2026, by a member of the public, police said.
According to police, they indicated that the victim had died after an altercation involving another man and a woman believed to have been his girlfriend.
The deceased was identified by his sister as Morgan Kundu Simiyu, 19, a resident of Maziwa Estate within Mukuru kwa Njenga.
Police said the body had a stab wound on the right side of the chest. The girlfriend was taken to the station for interrogation and recording of statements as investigations into the incident continue.
Crime scene personnel from Makadara processed and documented the scene before the body was moved to Nairobi City Mortuary, awaiting postmortem examination.
And police in Machakos are investigating a sudden death incident after a 43-year-old man was found dead in a room at an apartment in the Miwani area.
The incident was reported on May 24, 2026, at about 4.50 pm. Police who visited the scene found the body of Muthui Benard Munene lying on a mattress on the floor inside a room located under the staircase within the apartment compound.
Preliminary investigations established that the deceased was a tenant at the apartments but had allegedly been locked out of his house over rent arrears and had been seeking accommodation from friends.
Police said he had been staying with a watchman at the apartments since May 22, 2026.
The guard reportedly left him in the room at around 7.30 am on Sunday, and upon returning at about 2 pm, found him unresponsive.
Crime scene investigators processed and documented the scene before the body, which had no visible injuries, was moved to Machakos Level 5 Hospital mortuary pending autopsy.
Meanwhile, police in Kasarani are pursuing a murder suspect after a 36-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death following an argument in the Gituamba area.
According to police, the incident happened when two men known to each other reportedly engaged in a confrontation.
Police said the deceased, identified as Simon Nganga Maina, sustained a deep stab wound on the thigh after he was allegedly attacked by a suspect who fled immediately after the incident.
A resident who witnessed the altercation reported the matter to police at around 7.50pm.
The victim was rushed to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
Officers from Sunton Police Station visited the hospital and found the body with a deep cut wound on the right thigh.
Police said the murder weapon was not recovered and the motive behind the attack remains unclear. Detectives have launched a manhunt for the suspect who remains at large.
