More than 200 bodaboda operators have pleaded guilty to various offences after being nabbed in an ongoing crackdown.
This is after a viral video of a sexual assault where a lady is said to have been stripped by bodaboda riders along Nairobi’s Forest Road.
The bodaboda riders were arrested on Monday evening and were charged with the offense of driving along pedestrian walkway and obstructing traffic.
Appearing before Hon. E .Kimilu SPM of Milimani Law Courts, they all pleaded guilty and were fined Sh 35,000 each.
President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered the crackdown to weed out rogue elements within the sector.
