Police in Keringet are holding a 22-year-old woman named Yuna who is suspected to have stabbed her husband by the name Titus within Keringet.
According to the National Police Service (NPS), the woman who was arrested yesterday informed police that her husband came to their rented apartment and demanded food.
Further, she alleges that while in the process of cooking for him, they had a disagreement and the husband assaulted her by slapping her.
“In turn, she took a kitchen knife and stabbed him on the left side of the chest,” the NPS said.
The husband was rushed by neighbors to Keringet Sub-County Hospital from where he was referred to Olenguruone Hospital for further treatment while in critical condition.
The accused was arrested and placed in custody awaiting processing and arraignment.
“We appeal to the public to report all domestic and gender-based violence incidents to police for legal action,” the NPS added.
