A bodaboda rider and two passengers died instantly after their motorcycle rammed into a sand lorry on the Manga Metamaywa road yesterday evening.
Borabu OCPD Josaphat Chacha confirmed the incident, saying the bodaboda rider was overspeeding, causing him to lose control.
The lifeless bodies were taken to the Gucha Keroka hospital for postmortem.
Mr. Chacha has urged riders to follow traffic rules, noting that bodabodas should only carry one passenger.
The police chief has also expressed concern about the increased number of accidents involving bodaboda riders.
