42 per cent of new HIV Aids infections are in youth below 25 years.
According to Waumini Radio Morning show aired on 28th June, young people are indulging in reckless sex, thereby exposing themselves to danger.
The high HIV prevalence has been occasioned by the sponsor culture that targets young post secondary and university students.
The statistic comes in the wake of Naivasha WRC rally in which teenagers indulged in sex orgies never before seen in the Rift Valley Town.
The youth seek out the sponsors to access favours as little as mobile airtime and android phones. Religious organizations have expressed outrage at the turn of events.
