Murkomen: We Will Attend Uhuru’s Visit Under DP Ruto

Kipchumba Murkomen has said he will attend President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visit to the Rift valley region under the Deputy President.

Murkomen said in a tweet on his official Twitter account that, contrary to popular belief, all Ruto friends from the Rift Valley region would attend Uhuru’s meetings.

However, the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator stated that despite their overwhelming loyalty during the 2013 and 2017, Uhuru was yet to visit the region.

“Rift Valley region under the leadership of DP Ruto has voted for U.Kenyatta 4 times. For 4 years he has been MIA in the region. His visit is long overdue. We have many questions touching on projects and governance. We shall be there under the leadership of WSR (Ruto) who led us to him.I can’t wait”

President Uhuru Kenyatta is planning a trip to the Rift Valley in July.

State House is yet to announce the specific date.

President Uhuru and DP Ruto have long been at logger heads over the BBI Document, with both parties throwing jabs at each other.

Central Rift Valley region voted overwhelmingly against the document, which was fuelled by DP Ruto’s massive campaign.

Ruto recently expressed his displeasure on Uhuru’s Jubilee Party, accusing the leadership of tribal tendencies in managing affairs.

President Uhuru is yet to comment on the matter.
