Five people were killed in an early morning road accident near Kikopey Trading Centre on the busy Nakuru-Gilgil Highway.
The 5 a.m. incident killed four adults and a child, and injured several others.
According to the police, two matatus from Nairobi and Mololine Bus Companies collided with a lorry that was stalled along the climbing lane facing Nairobi.
The police have launched thorough investigations into the incident.
Road users have been urged to follow traffic rules by driving within the legal speed limits, not driving under the influence of alcohol, and refraining from any other form of recklessness on the road.
