Kanye West is embroiled in a legal battle with his former personal assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, who filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against him in June 2024.
Pisciotta also alleged wrongful termination and breach of contract in her lawsuit.
West vehemently denied the sexual harassment claims, calling them “baseless.”
He countersued Pisciotta for blackmail and extortion, accusing her of making false accusations in an attempt to coerce him into giving her money or other benefits.
‘In response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta, who actively pursued him sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits, then engaged in blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected.’
Conflicting Claims Emerge
West’s representatives allege that Pisciotta was fired due to unprofessional conduct and demanding an exorbitant salary.
They also claim she tried to extort West after her advances were rejected.
‘It is evident that Ms. Pisciotta leveraged her association with Ye and his company,’ the rep continued.
‘And her proximity to him, to seek material gains, clout, and employment through inappropriate means,’ his teamed said, further claiming that Lauren has not been truthful in terms of her claims.
Pisciotta, on the other hand, maintains her claims of sexual harassment and wrongful termination.
The lawsuit’s outcome remains to be seen as it progresses through the legal system.
