As Kenyans ushered in their blessed New Year in various occasions, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko spent his holidays putting his 2018/2019 books together; and as he shared Nairobi’s gains to the public, one Moffat Haroun caught the governors attention.
” Good morning everyone, one proverb says, “a drowning man will clutch at a straw.” This is my situation today. I am now writing to anyone who may be touched to help.
I am seeking your help please. You do not know me but I hope God touch your heart.”
The man who sounded rather distressed sought help in securing school fees for a Kenya Certificate of Primary Education student, who he kept under his wings, as the guardian.
I have a orphaned boy who is under my guardianship, scored 376 marks and he is to be admitted at Orero Boys in Homabay County. I am seeking your help because all avenues are closed. I have done my level best and I can only raise Ksh. 10,000. I cannot stand the pain that this boy is going through…. if you can help me offset the first term fees, I will really appreciate and God will surely bless you. ” lamented Moffat.
The governor, took to the reply section of the post to beacon the man to contact his office for further assistance.
“Moffat Haroun i have recieved your complain my director of communication Elkana Jacob will contact you, that’s his number” Responded Mike Sonko.
