Four Chinese nationals who were arrested for beating up a Kenyan worker have been identified as illegal immigrants with expired visas.
Police investigators put before the court have now placed Kenya’s immigration office on the spot for negligence.
Investigations have revealed that the four should not be operating business in Kenya since they lack valid documents.
Deing Hailan, Ou Qiang, Yu Ling and Chang Yueping, were arrested after a widely circulated video showed one of them caning a Kenyan staff at their hotel in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.
The magistrate will make her ruling on Thursday, February 13.
