Man United Contact Torino Over Goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic

Manchester United have initiated contact with Torino over a potential summer move for Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, amid rising doubts over Andre Onana’s long-term role at the club, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano.

Onana, who was signed for £47.2m last summer, has endured a turbulent debut season at Old Trafford, marked by a series of costly errors.

Despite a brief resurgence in form, the Cameroonian has again drawn criticism for recent mistakes, prompting United to re-evaluate their goalkeeping options.

United have now “added” Milinkovic-Savic to their shortlist. The 6’8” Serbian international has impressed in Serie A, keeping 10 clean sheets and saving four penalties this season.

His towering presence and penalty-saving prowess have made him a standout performer for Torino and an attractive prospect for top clubs across Europe.

The 28-year-old, brother of Al Hilal midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, is expected to leave Torino this summer, and United have reportedly asked about his price tag.

Interest is also said to be mounting from Chelsea and Manchester City, while Saudi clubs remain keen on Onana.

With Altay Bayindir struggling to impress when given the chance, and newly-appointed manager Ruben Amorim potentially keen on bringing in his own goalkeeper, United could make a decisive move soon.

However, United face a balancing act as they have multiple squad areas needing reinforcement.

Goalkeeper remains a key one — but it will depend on Onana’s future and any acceptable bids the club may receive.
