President William Ruto on Thursday held bilateral talks with His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales during his official visit to the United Kingdom, with discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and addressing shared global and regional challenges.
In a statement following the meeting, President Ruto described the talks as fruitful, noting that they were anchored in a mutual commitment to advancing prosperity and sustainable development for both Kenya and the UK.
“Our discussions were rooted in our shared commitment to mutual progress and prosperity, while addressing pressing regional and global challenges,” President Ruto said.
The two leaders explored avenues to deepen collaboration in areas such as climate action, trade and investment, education, and technology. They also emphasized the importance of partnerships in tackling global threats, including climate change and instability in the Horn of Africa.
“We are committed to deepening this cooperation for the shared prosperity of our people, building a sustainable future, and delivering tangible benefits for both our nations and the planet,” Ruto affirmed.
The meeting marks a continued strengthening of ties between Kenya and the United Kingdom, following years of diplomatic, economic, and development partnerships.
