PSG, Chelsea Set for Historic FIFA Club World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium

Football fans across the globe are bracing for a blockbuster final as Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea lock horns in the inaugural 32-team FIFA Club World Cup final this Sunday, July 13.

The match, set for a 3 p.m. ET/8 p.m. BST kickoff, will be staged at MetLife Stadium — the same venue that hosted both semifinals and is slated to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.

Paris Saint-Germain booked their place in the final with a commanding win over Real Madrid on Wednesday night. Luis Enrique’s men, fresh off their Champions League triumph earlier this year, have looked unstoppable aside from a minor stumble against Botafogo.

With attacking talents like Vitinha, Achraf Hakimi, and breakout star Désiré Doué in full form, PSG enter the final as clear favorites.

Chelsea, however, have proven doubters wrong throughout the tournament. After a dominant 2-0 semifinal victory over Brazilian side Fluminense on Tuesday, the Blues earned their spot in the final with arguably their best showing under manager Enzo Maresca.

Summer signing João Pedro was the standout, netting two goals in his first start for the club.

A win for Chelsea would cap a remarkable season for Maresca, who already lifted the UEFA Conference League and secured a top-four Premier League finish. But the final against PSG will be their sternest test yet.

Beyond the silverware, Sunday’s match will determine which side earns the historic distinction of being the first ever champion of the revamped Club World Cup.

With pride, legacy, and history all on the line, the world’s eyes will be fixed on MetLife Stadium as two European giants battle for global supremacy.
