Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United in a £55 million deal, subject to a work permit.
Kudus, 24, has signed a six-year contract that will keep him at Spurs until 2031. The move follows a rejected £50m bid last week, with West Ham eventually accepting an improved offer despite the midfielder having an £85m release clause.
The dynamic midfielder made 65 Premier League appearances for the Hammers, scoring 13 goals and registering nine assists since joining from Ajax in a £38m deal in 2023. His standout performances have made him one of the league’s most exciting attacking midfielders.
Kudus reportedly turned down interest from at least six top European clubs, prioritising a move to North London after direct talks with Tottenham’s sporting leadership.
He could soon be joined at Spurs by Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, who is set to undergo a medical on Friday ahead of a potential £60m switch.
The double swoop signals Tottenham’s intent to rebuild under manager Ange Postecoglou, who has been pushing for versatile, creative talent to boost the squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
West Ham, meanwhile, will look to reinvest the fee from Kudus’ sale as they continue their own squad overhaul.
Kudus is expected to link up with his new teammates once his work permit is finalised.
