Simba Mall Rising in Eldoret, Set to Transform Retail and Leisure Scene

By Faith Mwende

Eldoret is gearing up for a major retail transformation as construction of Simba Mall, a multi-billion shilling shopping and entertainment complex, takes shape along the Eldoret Nakuru Highway.

The development, which is expected to rival the established Rupa’s Mall, is positioned close to Poa Place and has already recorded significant progress in recent months.

A site inspection conducted by Uasin Gishu News on September 5, 2025, revealed that the mall’s main structure is well advanced. If the construction pace is maintained, Simba Mall could officially open its doors before the end of the year.

The project is designed to host a mix of international and local brands, including global fast food giant KFC. Plans also feature supermarkets, retail outlets, and extensive recreation facilities aimed at creating a one stop destination for shoppers and families alike.

Among its standout highlights are rooftop dining terraces that will offer panoramic views of Eldoret, alongside modern parking solutions with both underground and rooftop options.

Architectural renderings indicate that Simba Mall is envisioned as more than just a retail hub, it aims to establish itself as a lifestyle landmark for shopping, dining, and entertainment in the fast growing town.

Once complete, the facility is set to significantly boost Eldoret’s profile as a regional commercial and leisure destination.
