Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions that will affect parts of seven counties on Wednesday, December 17.
In a notice on Tuesday, December 16, the company said the outages will affect parts of Nairobi, Machakos, Makueni, Nandi, Migori, Embu and Kisumu counties.
In Nairobi County, power will be interrupted in parts of Magadi Road and Karen from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M.
The affected areas include Brookhouse School, Part of Magadi Road, Bogani East Road, CUEA, Corat Africa, Park Place Hotel, Swara Lane, Total Magadi Road, Saifee Park, Kipevu Road, Banda Lane and Kisembe.
Other affected areas are Mukoma Road, Ndorobo Road, Muderendu, Kikenni Road, Giraffe Center, Mlima Road and adjacent customers.
In Machakos County, the Sabaki area will experience a power outage from 9.00 A.M. to 12.00 P.M., affecting Alpharama, Old Mombasa Road, Athi 55, Athi Stores, Manipal, Ramrod, Great Wall, Coloho Mall, Sabaki, Kenchic and adjacent customers.
Meanwhile, parts of Mlolongo will be without power from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M., covering Ngwata Phase 3, Mlolongo Weigh Bridge, KPLC Offices, Sapphire Business Park, Weighbridge Gardens, Kathangaita and adjacent customers.
In Makueni County, electricity supply will be interrupted from 8.30 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. along the Muo̱oni River to Nziu (Emali Ex-Sultan) line.
Areas affected include Matiliku Market, Kalamba Fruit Factory, Kalamba Market, Nziu Market, Kilili Market, Masumba Market, Kikumini Market, Mulala Market, Mbenu Market, Kithumani Market, Masokani Market and adjacent customers.
In Nandi County, parts of Tembwo and Koimet will be affected from 9.00 A.M. to 6.00 P.M., including Tembwo Village, Koimet Village, Chebindara Village and adjacent customers.
In Migori County, power interruptions will affect Macalder, Nyakweri and Muhuru Bay from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M.
The areas listed include Muhuru Bay Town, Tagache, Bande, Othoch Rakwom, Lwanda, Parts of Sori, Osiri Gold Mine, Macalder Centre, Okenge, Sibwoche, Nyakweri and adjacent customers.
In Embu County, supply will be interrupted from 8.30 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. in areas including Riva Petrol Station, Vieznina, Tenri Hospital, Gerish, NCPB, GK Prisons, Kamiu Catholic, Kamiu ACK, GTI Staff Quarters, Part of Iveche, Tenri TVET and adjacent customers.
In Kisumu County, the outage will affect Ngege Beach and Marine School areas from 8.30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M., covering Ngege Beach, Marine School, Kwoyo ACK and adjacent customers.
