Police in Busia have arrested a suspected car jacker following a tip off.
According to reports, officers in this Western Kenya county were informed about the presence of three suspicious characters inside a packed motor vehicle.
The car, a Toyota Passo was packed in the compound of one Henry Oyeke who reported the incident.
One suspect by the name Cyrus Odanga was arrested and detained as his accomplices fled.
Police confiscated Mr. Odanga’s home for further analysis.
Police have dusted the vehicle for figure prints and searched it off weapons and drugs.
Busia is a border town prone to cross border illicit activities including the transportation of stolen vehicles, motorbikes, tractors and drugs.
