Police in Kwale County have intensified operations targeting the possession and distribution of narcotic drugs in a renewed effort to curb substance abuse and enhance public safety.
During a recent intelligence-led operation in Msambweni Sub-County, officers from Diani Police Station raided Mwakipeku Village in Kinondo Ward, where they recovered 1,858 rolls of cannabis sativa.

One suspect was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody for further processing and arraignment, while the recovered narcotics were secured as exhibits.
The National Police Service said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and abuse, which authorities have identified as a growing threat to community wellbeing.
