Security agencies have intensified operations against criminal gangs in Nakuru East Sub-County following a series of coordinated raids targeting suspected hideouts across the area.
Acting on intelligence reports, police officers conducted a raid in Kaloleni Estate, where 12 suspects were arrested inside a one-room house. Authorities indicated that the individuals were allegedly in the process of planning criminal activities at the time of the operation.
In a subsequent operation within the same estate, four additional suspects were arrested from a separate location believed to be linked to the group.
The crackdown extended to Freehold Estate, where officers apprehended four more suspects, further expanding the scope of the operation.
Police also carried out arrests at the Railway Stage area, where eight suspects were taken into custody as part of efforts to dismantle what authorities describe as a wider criminal network operating within Nakuru East and its environs.
All suspects are currently being held as investigations continue, with police indicating that they will be arraigned in court upon completion of processing.
The National Police Service (NPS) stated that the operation forms part of ongoing intelligence-led efforts to curb criminal activity and enhance public safety across the region.
