Chelsea star N’Golo Kante caught the ball from Mason Mount’s throw-in during the second half and which no one simply got what was going through his head.
Kante, arguably among the best midfielders in the season, has hardly put a foot wrong since moving to the Premier League.
Wolves were awarded a free-kick for handball, and he has the gods to thank for avoiding a yellow card.
It was unclear what prompted Kante to catch the ball, although some viewers claimed he heard a whistle.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side had just equalised through Daniel Podence’s strike and Pedro Neto scored an injury-time winner for the hosts. Chelsea lost 2-1 against Wolves.
Olivier Giroud had earlier given Chelsea a lead to keep his red-hot run of form alive.
But Daniel Podence equalised with Frank Lampard’s side lacking their edge in the second-half.
Neto would go on to snatch all three points for Wolves as he rifled home a left-footed strike past the outstretched arms of Edouard Mendy.
The defeat meant Chelsea missed the chance to go top of the Premier League after Tottenham and Liverpool both dropped points at the weekend.
