EPRA Review – Fuel Prices Remain Stagnant

Kenya fuel prices drop a 5 month Low

On Wednesday, April 14, the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) declared that fuel prices will remain unchanged for the next 30 days.

This is according to EPRA’s monthly review on the product, that Kenyans had feared would increase in price.

The new rates will be in effect from Thursday, April 15, to Friday, April 14, ensuring that Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene will all be the same price.

This means that in Nairobi, Super Petrol will cost Kshs.122.81, Diesel will cost Kshs.107.66, and Kerosene will cost Kshs.97.85.

Super Petrol would cost Ksh120.41 in Mombasa, Ksh105.27 for Diesel, and Ksh95.46 for Kerosene. Super Petrol will cost Ksh123.36 in Eldoret, while Diesel will cost Ksh108.46 and Kerosene will cost Ksh98.68.

The following are the fuel prices in Kisumu: The price of Super Petrol will be Ksh 123.36, Diesel will be Ksh 108.46, and Kerosene will be Ksh 98.68.

According to the authority, the prices include an 8% Value Added Tax (VAT) in accordance with the Finance Act 2018, and the revised excise duty rates were adjusted for inflation in accordance with Legal Notice 194 of 2020.


Imported fuel prices have risen in the last 30 days, according to EPRA.
