Four persons are thought to be trapped in the wreckage of a collapsed flyover in Nairobi’s Kangemi neighborhood.
Rescue personnel were seen attempting to rescue the workers in a viral video on the evening of Monday, June 21.
At the scene of the accident, a throng gathered, and authorities sought to restrain them from interfering with the rescue efforts.
Ambulances were seen on their way to the scene of the accident.
The piece that collapsed was part of the Ksh16 billion Waiyaki Way expansion project, which was granted to the China Wu Yi business.
The project include turning Waiyaki Way’s 25-kilometer James Gichuru-Rironi Road stretch into a motorway.
