These are the reviewed salaries for various teachers classified under their respective grades.
The highest paid teacher is a Chief Principal at grade D5 now receives Sh157,656 monthly salary.
The Senior Principals who are ranked at job grade D4 receive a monthly pay of Sh121,890 while the ordinary Principals at grade D3 will be earning a monthly salary of Sh104,644.
On the other hand, Deputy Principals II who fall in job grade D2 will carry monthly salary Sh91,041 and the other Deputy Principals II in grade D1 will be receiving a monthly salary of between Sh77,840 and Sh85,269.
Teachers at Grade B5
Teachers under this job grade have no any salary increment and this is the entry grade for newly employed primary teachers. Their salarly lies between Sh 23,000 to sh 27,195
Grade C1(Secondary Teacher III)
Grade C1 is the first Entry job Grade for newly employed diploma holders secondary school teachers. Their increased monthly salaries will be ranging between Sh.27,195 to Sh.33,994.
Grade C2 ( Secondary Teacher II)
This is the entry job grade for newly employed degree holders secondary school teachers. The will be earning sh34955 to Sh43694.
Grade C3( Secondary Teacher 1)
After 5 year of service secondary school teachers will be automatically promoted to C3 grade and earn between ksh 43,154 to ksh 53,933.
Grade C4 and C5
This job grade includes the head teachers, deputy head teachers I and senior master III. Head teachers are the one heading primary schools with enrollment of pupils below 1,000.Â
On the other hand Deputy Head Teacher I are administrators in Primary schools with an enrollment of over 1,000 pupils while, Senior Master III are administrators in Sub- County and All Day schools.
This category will be earning between ksh52,308 to ksh64,632.
