
The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) reported that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Africa had reached 6,281,998 as of Wednesday afternoon.
The African Union’s specialist healthcare organization, the Africa CDC, said that 159,719 people have died as a result of the pandemic, with 5,513,426 people recovering across the continent.
According to the Africa CDC, the nations having the most cases on the continent include South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and Ethiopia.
In terms of the caseload, southern Africa is the most affected region, followed by the northern and eastern parts of the continent, while central Africa is the least affected region in the continent, according to the Africa CDC.
