Drama between gospel musician Ringtone and blogger Robert Alai escalated after the musician wrote an application for the court to cancel Alai’s bond terms, citing a violation.
In court documents seen by Uzalendo News, Ringtone has filed an application to court claiming the blogger violated terms by resulting in insults on social media.
“The conduct of the defendant has shown he has no regard for the law and that due measures should take place to protect the dignity of court processes.”
Some of the tweets came from blogger Abraham Mutai, whom Ondieki alleges is Alai’s surrogate and one of his agents.
Mutai links Ringtone to well-known gold fraudsters, including one who is facing murder charges, in one of his tweets.
Ringtone is allegedly driving stolen automobiles, according to the blogger, and police and Interpol are aware of this.
Alai was charged with causing severe bodily harm to Ringtone and was released on an Sh300,000 cash bail or an Sh1 million bond after complying with the restrictions.
The court will hear the application to cancel the bonds after lawyers have been notified.
