TMall Footbridge To Address Pedestrian Safety

CENTUNION contractors, working under the supervision of the Kenya National Highways Authority have set up structures to hoist a footbridge on Nairobi- Lang’ata Road.

The works are part of an improvement of road pavement being done at the T-mall intersection to alleviate traffic jams.

The project, factored in several pedestrian interventions, owing to the high pedestrian traffic witnessed in the area on a daily basis.

There are other 4 similar footbridges being constructed along Lang’ata Rd and Mombasa Rd to facilitate safety for all road users.

CENTUNION claims that designing, supplying, and erecting modular steel bridges requires a plethora of experience and that its prior projects in South America, Asia, and Africa demonstrate this.

The project is expected to be completed in 36 months and will help to strengthen cooperation between the Kenyan and Spanish governments.

The initiative, according to KeNHA, would ensure safe and dependable pedestrian crossings while also lowering traffic congestion and vehicle crashes at the target areas.

A series of footbridges will be built at the T-Mall Flyover on Lang’ata Road, Mbagathi Way, and Nyayo Stadium to implement these.
