Deputy President William Ruto has continued his onslaught against ODM party leader Raila Odinga, referring to him as a “state project.”
According to the DP, a Raila presidency is being pushed by a small group of wealthy individuals who want to protect their corporate interests at the expense of Kenyans.
“A few people conspired to choose our president for us just because they have large bank accounts and arrogance. They’ve set up interviews and forced their candidate for us”, Ruto remarked.
Mount Kenya Foundation
Ruto said that Kenyans have not sent the Mount Kenya Foundation to interview any presidential candidate.
His comments came only days after the Mt Kenya Foundation named Raila as their favoured presidential candidate for 2022.
After meeting with Raila and One Kenya Alliance leaders Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi, and Moses Wetangula, the MKF made the decision.
The DP is on a tour of Garissa county, where he is opening United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party offices in Garissa.
