The second phase of Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) from January 17th to February 6th, 2022 will enlist thousands of Diaspora voters.
IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati stated that the process for residents living outside Kenya would begin on January 21, 2022, and end on February 6, 2022, during official working hours at Kenyan embassies, high commissions, and consulates in their respective countries.
Kenyans who are planning to visit Kenya between January 21 and February 6, 2022, ohave been asked by the IEBC to register as Diaspora Kenyans at the Anniversary Towers in Nairobi between January 21 and February 6 this year.Â
At the same time, the chairman stated that ECVR II will include eligible Kenyan voters who participated in the 2017 General Election from Burundi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, and South Africa.
The Commission will expand the diaspora voter registration exercise to seven more countries, including the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, South Sudan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Germany.
