Savula Threatens ANC Walkout

Ayub Savula, the Lugari Member of Parliament, has threatened to leave the Amani National Congress (ANC) if the party’s leader Musalia Mudavadi joins forces with Deputy President William Ruto.

Savula told a local news station that he will only associate with Mudavadi if the latter confirms his support for ODM leader Raila Odinga.

“We have procedures to be followed once you quit from one party to the other, so if Musalia decides to work with United Democratic Alliance (UDA) then I have to resign from ANC first then register officially as an ODM member,” Savula said.

He claimed Mudavadi, not Ruto, was better suited to cooperate with Odinga.

This comes barely two days after Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala attended a mega rally in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County, hosted by DP Ruto.

Savula has promised to spearhead a mass exodus from the ANC, particularly among figures sympathetic to Odinga.
