Magistrate Survives Terror Attack

Senior Principal Magistrate Paul Rotich and his entourage of judicial officers escaped unhurt after suspected Al-Shabaab gunmen attack. 

The incident that occurred in Lamu East, according to a police report documented at Witu.  

The Judicial officers were traveling from Kipini, in a convoy of three vehicles when the attack occurred.

A driver and body guard were injured in the attack and were rushed to the nearby Shuheyla Medical center for treatment. 

Tactical units have been deployed in the area to track the assailants.
