Wolves officially relegated from the Premier League to the Championship

It is now official: Wolverhampton, beaten by Leeds (3-0), have been relegated to the English second division.

On Monday night, West Ham’s draw at Crystal Palace (0-0) sealed the Wolves’ fate.

They are mathematically doomed with five matches left in the season after a failed campaign.

Particularly fragile in defense (61 goals conceded) and not clinical enough, the Molineux Stadium side have missed the mark this season.

By mid-December, they had picked up only two measly points, already all but sealing their fate for the end of the season.

Despite a slight revival at the start of 2026 under Rob Edwards, including a run of five matches unbeaten, the miracle never happened.

After eight consecutive seasons in the PL, Wolverhampton are going down to the division below.
