Raila Entourage Arrives In Washington, US

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga and his entourage have finally arrived in Washington DC ahead of a one-week visit to the United States.

“Touchdown: Washington DC for a working week. Looking forward to a robust, interactive series of engagements over the next couple of days.” Raila posted on his Twitter page shortly after he arrived in the US. 

According to a statement released earlier by his campaign secretariat, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Presidential candidate who left the country on Friday, April 22, is set to hold a series of meetings with senior US government officials as well as senior members of the US Congress in Washington DC.

The former Prime Minister will also meet key African-African leaders and Kenyans in the American diaspora qnd speak to several think tanks.

He is accompanied by Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, governors James Ongwae (Kisii), Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega) and Laikipia’s Ndiritu Muriithi.

Others are Prof. Makau Mutua, Spokesperson of his Presidential Campaign Secretariat, former head of Public Service Sally Kosgey, Homabay Senator Moses Kajwang, Kathiani MP Robert Mbui and former Kenya Ambassador to the US Elkanah Odembo.
