Machakos Governor Aspirant Wavinya Ndeti is facing integrity issues after it emerged that the former CAS is linked to a Ksh. 400 Million land fraud case.

According to court documents detailed by Nation, Ms. Ndeti is locked in the dispute with Tinek Limited and its director,Abdinoor Shariff Ahmed.

The company accused Wavinya Ndeti’s relative, Peter Nzuki Ndeti of colluding with the National Lands Commission to rip them off the land.

The land, worth more than Sh400 million has been a bone of contention with the government, which had stalled the duallingof Athi River-Machakos highway.

Mr. Ahmed filed a lawsuit in the High Court claiming that he purchased the land in 2004 and subdivided it into 18 plots, one of which was leased to petroleum dealer Engen.

The recent happenings have cast the former Transport CAS in bad light potentially soiling Wiper campaigns in Machakos County.

Sloganed Kazi Bila Wizi, unnamed Wiper officials claim the long-stretching scandal may impact the aspiring governor’s hopes of winning her third attempt at Machakos, given the fact that dualling the road has been a political weapon to his rivals.

Nzioka Waita, the former Chief Of Staff and his running mate Hon. Florence Mwangangi has vowed to fast track the dualling of the key road, which has been a traffic nightmare to residents of Machakos County.
