A multi-agency security team in Marsabit has continued to achieve great success in restoring security and long-term peace in the area.
On June 28, 2022, the security team recovered thirty-nine cattle that had earlier been reported to have strayed from their grazing fields in the Matalana Area.
According to National Police Service (NPS), the successful recovery was the result of close collaboration between the multi-agency team and the elders of Shurr Location.
“We commend all the communities for their immense support and urge them to embrace peaceful initiatives in solving conflicts and continue sharing information through the Community Policing and nyumba Kumi mechanisms for the enhancement of security in the area,” the NPS said.
