The High Court has overruled a lower court ruling that acquitted ex-Nairobi County Finance Officer Jimmy Kiamba on fraud charges totaling Ksh.17.9 million.
On Thursday, Justice Esther Maina overturned the judgment to acquit Mr. Kiamba of the fraud and abuse of office charges.
He was acquitted together with former county secretary Lilian Ndegwa, Regina Rotich, and former treasury head Stephen Osiro.
However, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission moved to court to challenge the decision.
The sentencing is scheduled for July 12.
