A more compact and quick version of Outlook Lite is being developed by Microsoft and will be released in the Google Play market later this month.
The lite Outlook version of the software will be “an Android app that delivers the primary benefits of Outlook in a lower app size with performance for low-end smartphones on any network,” according to Microsoft’s 365 road map.
Both iOS and Android phones can use the original version.
According to Microsoft, the application will only handle Outlook, Hotmail, Live, and MSN accounts; Gmail and Yahoo email accounts will not be supported.
It will allow for the addition of and use of just one email account.
